SHORT SALE BETTER DO IT NOW. Uncle Sam has decided that you only have till December 31, 2012 for tax relief on your short sales. So PANAMA CITY FLORIDA and everywhere else in the good ole USA if you are under water on your home as most are and you want to get out of it and safe 10's of thousands you better get it on the market now.....Ypu know banks 2-6 months to process a SHORT SALE so if you dont have it under contract by June you maybe #$%^ out of luck.
I just sold a condo for a client that he lost $300,000 on it. That will be the 1099 he gets from the IRS being in the 28% bracket if it would of sold next year he would of had to pay $84000 to the IRS on that sale....DO YOU HAVE 1 20, 50, 100,000 TO HAND OVER?????
